A There are multiple options for currency exchange near the InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel. The Toronto Eaton Centre offers two currency exchange places located on levels 1 and 2. There is also a Calforex Toronto Currency Exchange located at 290 Queen Street West. If you need help or have any questions, please feel free to ask our concierge team located in our lobby.
A While the InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel is not directly connected to the PATH from the hotel, we are directly attached to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, which connects to the PATH. We are also just steps from Union Station, Toronto's transportation hub. 
A The InterContinental Toronto Centre is an 8-minute walk to King Street West, which features the following recommended restaurants: Kit Kat, Luma, Los Colibres and more. Of course, we'd love for you to dine with us at Azure Restaurant and Bar for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but we understand if you'd like to check out some of Toronto's innovate culinary scene. As we are located in the heart of downtown, the choices for delectable eateries ranging from upscale to casual cafes are endless. For a detailed list of restaurants please stop by our concierge desk located in the lobby of our hotel. 

 All major banks are located within a 5-10 minute walk of the hotel, located near Toronto's Financial District, including:

  • RBC: 155 Wellington Street
  • BMO: 200 King Street Wes
  • HSBC: 70 York Street

If you just need a currency exchange, you may find two at the Eaton Centre located on levels 1 and 2.

A The Shoppers Drug Mart is located inside the Royal Bank Plaza (Concourse level) just across from Union Station and is open during regular business hours. For a 24-hour drug store, visit the Rexall Pharma Plus located at 250 University Avenue, across the street from our hotel.
A Yes, you can walk to the Art Gallery of Ontario from our hotel, located 1.6 kilometers away and a 22-26 minute walk, depending upon the route. Walk along John St, Simcoe St, or Beverley St and head north until you arrive at the art gallery. If you would prefer a ride, it is just a 6-minute drive.

The Distillery District is Toronto's only heritage district and is one of the city's largest hubs for arts and culture. This pedestrian-only neighborhood in east downtown draws crowds to its cobblestone streets lined with trendy restaurants, bars, theatres, shops, and art galleries. Set in quaint 19th-Century buildings that once housed a large whiskey distillery, the Distillery District showcases Toronto's inherent culture. Head to Trinity Street and the public square for outdoor markets among the hustle and bustle.

A Azure Restaurant & Bar located in the lobby of the hotel is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and serves fresh coffee all day. If you are venturing out, head to Second Cup, located in the west end of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre's North building, directly connected to the InterContinental Toronto Centre. There is also a Starbucks located at 123 Front Street West and another one in the lower level of Simcoe Place. Tim Horton's (open 24 hours) is located at 55 York Street.
A Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is just a five-minute walk from our hotel. There is no indoor connection to the aquarium, however, you can walk most of the way indoors through the Metro Toronto Convention Centre which is directly connected to our hotel. The InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel is literally across the street from the aquarium, as well as the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, and Union Station. Feel free to walk right over to the giant touch tanks hosting over 15,000 marine animals. We also offer a fantastic Ripley's special offer which includes two Anytime tickets to the aquarium during your stay. 
A Rabbas Fine Foods (open 24 hours) grocery is located at 361 Front Street West and is a five-minute walk from our hotel, making it easy to pick up snacks and drinks while staying with us at the InterContinental Toronto Centre. You can also visit Longo's at Maple Leafs Square, which is located at 15 York Street, and a three-minute walk southeast.
A Our hotel is located across the street from the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, and Rogers Centre, with plenty of other Toronto attractions within walking distance. Explore the Art Gallery of Ontario or the Royal Ontario Museum which is a 25-minute walk. Catch a Raptors or Maple Leafs game at Air Canada Centre, just 5 minutes away by foot. Shop and dine at the historic Distillery District or see a show at the Princess of Wales Theatre, also just a quick walk from the InterContinental Toronto Centre. We are also conveniently located near the Union Pearson Express Downtown station.
A Union Pearson Express (UP Express) is located within the Skywalk at Union Station which is a 3-minute walk from the InterContinental Toronto Centre. It departs every 15 minutes between 5:30 am - 1:00 am daily, for $12 per person per way. Between Pearson and Union, UP Express stops at Weston and Bloor stations. Fares are calculated by distance, so you only pay for the distance covered on your way to and from the airport, with shorter journeys costing less than longer journeys. You can buy your tickets here in advance.
A The North building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is directly attached to the InterContinental Toronto Centre from the main lobby via sliding glass doors. The South building can be accessed indoors via the Skywalk from the North building. From there, you can also connect directly to the PATH.
A The closest subway station to the InterContinental Toronto Centre is Union Station located 2 blocks east from the hotel, a 7-minute walk. As Canada's busiest transportation hub, you can get to just about anywhere from here or connect to the PATH for even greater access to all of Toronto. You can also catch the Union Pearson Express in the downtown terminal for just $12.
