The InterContinental Toronto Centre is an ideal destination for corporate functions, unforgettable wedding receptions, banquets and special occasions with a total of 18,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. Host events in our Executive Conference Centre, located on the Lobby Level.

The Executive Conference Centre showcases 12 state of the art meeting rooms that make it easy to get the job done. Four permanent boardrooms are perfect for smaller functions with space for 10 to 22 guests.

In addition, the hotel is outfitted with 13 spacious meeting rooms in the lower lobby, including an elegantly-appointed ballroom that easily accommodates between 500 and 700 guests. For exceptional cuisine prepared by our exceptional culinary team choose one of our two private dining rooms.

Next Generation Boardrooms at Toronto Hotel -

InterContinental Toronto Centre has taken a commanding lead as the most technologically advanced corporate hotel in Canada. The hotel's two ultra-chic, Next Generation Boardrooms, aptly named Conquest and Visionary, seat up to 22 and 24 people respectively.

Each boardroom is equipped with modern meeting equipment such as 60" plasma SMART Boards, video web conferencing and touch-screen controls. Participants sit in sleek, ergonomic black leather office chairs around a contemporary oval conference table of dark wood. The boardrooms are soundproofed and feature a high-end sound system that is perfectly placed and hidden.

Toronto Next Generation Boardroom Amenities -

Metallic tiles form an attractive oval on the ceiling above the conference table. With a touch of an icon on an electronic control screen, the tiles part and a high-resolution LCD projector descends into position opposite a drop-down, full
projection screen.

At the opposite end of the table, two wall-mounted, 60 " plasma screens. Easily broadcast images from the LCD projector or DVD player and VCR. Also, the left screen will split to show video web feeds from up to four different sites, while the right screen projects the visual of the InterContinental Toronto Centre boardroom that is being broadcast to off-site business participants.

The right screen is also a SMART Board (designed by Calgary's Smart Technologies, Inc.), which can be controlled from the accompanying Sympodium interactive lectern. With this technology, the speaker views the computer image of his or her business presentation on the lectern's monitor and uses a stylus to circle or underline key points or to add handwritten notes.

These appear simultaneously on the SMART Board's plasma screen, which is displaying the presentation to the audience. With a simple tap on 'Save', software instantly converts the stylus notes into text within the presentation, which can then be printed, e-mailed or posted online at the office or in the hotel's full-service Business Centre.

High Tech in Toronto -

Other features of InterContinental Toronto Centre's boardrooms include a high-resolution camera capable of projecting any 3-D object onto one of the plasma screens; voice, web and video conferencing; hidden whiteboards that silently move into position; a touch-control screen and remote touch-screen control for all office equipment.

The InterContinental Toronto Centre is also home to the 8th-floor Club InterContinental boardroom, which offers HSI capabilities, plasma television and DVD, five-way teleconferencing and an idea-inspiring view of Lake Ontario.
