Toronto Events - International Festival of Authors

Now in its 37th year, the International Festival of Authors brings together more than 200 writers from Canada and around the world at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre. This 11-day showcase features the best in contemporary literature, with a large collection of readings, artist talks, interviews, round table discussions, workshops, public book signings, and other special events. From October 20-30, you can meet and mingle with top novelists, poets, playwrights, short story writers, and biographers. This year's spotlight will focus on new ideas from graphic novelists, non-fiction writers, and Irish writers. Highlighted events for the 2016 International Festival of Authors include:

  • Round-table discussion with English-language Fiction Finalists of the Governor General's Literary Award, 2016 International Visitors Award, the PEN Canada Benefit, and the Harbourfront Festival Prize
